Is your local cemetery in need of preservation?

• America's history is buried in every cemetery across our Nation and that history is memorialized through the historic architecture we call gravestones.
• If your local cemetery has broken monuments or monuments that are leaning, or laying on the ground, please contact the cemetery owner and ask them to begin preservation efforts.
  
• Always start by contacting the township trustees where the cemetery is located. If the cemetery isn't managed by them, they will be able to direct you to who it is managed by. Cemeteries, unless privately owned, can be managed by cities, villages, townships, or cemetery boards. 
• Let the cemetery owner or manager know the condition of the cemetery. Then ask them to contact a cemetery preservationist to make repairs to the monuments that need it.
