African Basil is known as Ocimum Gratissimum, and Clove Basil, or Wild Basil in Hawaii.
This herb will spread if not contained.
This herb comes from Ghana and does well in the heat. It's native to Africa, Madagascar, and southern Asia.
This herb is ideal for making pesto or to add to pasta, soups, and salads because of its rich basil taste with a hint of oregano. It's also perfect to use in vinegar.
GROWING INFO:
Plant spacing: 14-24" apart.
Plant size: 48-72" tall.

Maturity: 60-90 days.
Water: Water regularly during the hot months.
Sun: African Nunum loves sunny days with partial shade.

Harvest: You can harvest once the plant becomes established. Fully harvest just before the plant starts to flower.
Plant: Best to grow in a container or garden bed because it will spread.
Quick Tip: African Nunum is popular in African and Asian foods. It's used in natural medicines because it is an anti-inflammatory, promotes a healthy gut, and is good for digestion. It will also deter mosquitoes because of its unique clove-like aroma.
